Inspiring Young People Through Rugby
At Stirling County RFC, we believe rugby is about far more than what happens on the pitch. Our Schools Programme brings the values of the game directly into schools across Stirling and the wider Central region, helping young people build confidence, develop life skills, stay active, and feel connected to their community.
Through regular coaching sessions, mentoring opportunities, festivals and competitions, we create positive sporting experiences that encourage participation, personal growth, and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.

Sessions are led by our team of dedicated coaches, including two full-time Modern Apprentices and two part-time coaches. Together, they provide high-quality, inclusive coaching designed to develop physical literacy, teamwork, resilience, and self-belief in young people of all abilities.
Creating pathways for the future
Our ambition is to grow the programme even further, ensuring more young people have access to the benefits of rugby.
Over the coming years, we aim to:
- Expand delivery to all 35 primary schools in the area
- Increase opportunities for S1 and S2 pupils
- Provide additional coaching and playing opportunities for Under-16 boys and girls
- Double the number of coaching hours delivered each week
- Create stronger pathways from school participation into club rugby
- Host regular tournaments and festivals
- Enhance player development through access to floodlit facilities and video analysis
By strengthening these pathways, we can help more young people continue their rugby journey while supporting their personal development both on and off the field.
